Violent Killings in Israel

An Israeli gunman has been killed by a stone-throwing mob after he shot three people dead on a bus in an Israeli Arab town.

One cannot help but mourn such violence and hope for restraint in Israel during this tense period. I have been surprised that only the BBC seems to have been covering and updating this killing spree -- now five dead -- four Israeli Arabs killed by this 19-year-old killed in turn by an angered mob. My general sense is that 'terrorist' killings are largely the acts of misguided individuals provoked by others who are stoking rage against 'enemies' and using largely naive, unstable younger people as their instruments. Such is the ugly upshot of anachronistic religious mythologies.
