Diabetes Amputates Legs . . .

and kills in many other horrible ways!

We have lost too many friends -- and college age as well as older ones -- from what looks from this NY Times report to be an escalating epidemic of deaths and other dire medical conditions that could have been averted by modifications in exercise and eating habits. We happen to have excellent doctors who monitor for such things and prescribe counter medications. We don't own a car with our excellent NYC transportation, so do much walking in the course of pursuing our lives which provides at least minimal exercise to keep us relatively in good shape.

But read this article and respond. The life you save may well be your own. The saddest thing has been our friends who have successively had feet and then legs amputated due to their diabetes before their premature deaths. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
