The Mindless Chatterers?

It is difficult to determine exactly how many of our troops are currently in Iraq -- somewhere considerably fewer than 200,000. Our best military minds have consistently been pointing out that we need vastly more than that number to pacify this poor torn up country. But one continues to hear on-going nonsense from both our pols and news 'commentators' on the wisdom and necessity of continuing our role in the blood bath there. I think the most ridiculous comment I heard yesterday was from one of the latter on CNN -- that perhaps we would have to keep 50,000 troops there for the next five or six years. This was on a day when some 75 or more Iraqis had been reported killed along with four of our military with 3 others captured and presumably being turned into mince meat in the near future if not already.

Can't these people even count. Did Rumsfeld mesmerize the nation with his nonsense about doing more with less? Such is really scary to contemplate with our amateurs telling us all about things. There are some real experts around on such matters, but they seem to be being drowned out by these mindless chatterers! Help!
