A sad thought for the new year

[I just sent a follow up not on my posting on capital punishment to a former student to the effect that Israel does not execute -- Eichman was the rare exception. However, I am deeply saddened by Israel's brutality in killing its enemies with its massive military -- funded in part by us Americans. The killing ratio of Palestinians to Israelis continues to expand and, of course, each Palestinian death in addition to the indignities constantly imposed on Palestinians can only increase their rage and defeat any serious hope for peace.
