Freaking Out Over Iran?

[The report below in today's NY Times of a mano-a-mano battle between Cheney and Condi as to whether to bomb or seek diplomatic contacts with Iran is downright scary. Needless to say, if Cheney wins out again, we will be faced by a far greater catastrophe than that in Iraq currently. We will have blown the Middle East sky high and with it most likely some of our Muslim allies there who are likely to be caught up as collateral damage. Needless to say, again, we will have further antagonized the rest of the world which now despises our bullying approach to foreign affairs.

Maybe the time has come to impeach Cheney who looks to be the most dangerous American in government today. And this latest bit certainly raises serious questions about Petraeus' and Crocker's sales pitch on Iraq. We shall for better or worse see what is coming next most likely this autumn. Hopefully we shall have an opportunity to speak out loudly and clearly before the worst happens. Republicans up for reelection as well as Democrats had best take heed here! Ed Kent]
