Review: 'Islamophobia: Making Muslims the Enemy'

[As a recently retired academic who has taught any number of Muslim students (one young woman was the president of our student philosophy club), I have been appalled by the ugly stereotypes of Muslims in our media and elsewhere. Ironically it is precisely those who have migrated to the U.S. who are our best response to the mad ones who would destroy themselves and others and who provide the stereotypes cruelly applied to all. There are many fine books on the history of Islam and its modern variations that should be made a standard offering to our students and others. Ed Kent]
