Religious Complicity in Wars and Other Brutal Things

Christians have to face up to such criminal church conduct as that reported here:

Argentine Church Faces 'Dirty War' Past
By ALEXEI BARRIONUEVO
The Roman Catholic Church in Argentina is beginning to come
to terms with its complicity in the atrocities committed
during the dictatorship from 1976 to 1983.

Lest one is tempted to disassociate from Roman Catholic abuses, recall that Blair and Bush, the key figures in the attack on Iraq and the murderous consequences of it, both claimed earnest Christian personal identities and motivations for their war on Iraq:

That precisely is what is wrong with today's religions (and much of our past) -- the claim that G-d told me to do it.

Read and weep -- the disastrous long-term consequences of our Iraqi holy war:

Sectarian Toll Includes Scars to Iraq Psyche
By SABRINA TAVERNISE

continued to flee their homes, leaving uncrossable
sectarian lines and shattered trust.
